This Is Friendship – A Suspense Thriller Hits Theatres on January 30

The filming of the movie “Ithaanu Friendship” (This Is Friendship), which brings to life beautiful moments of friendship, has been completed at locations including Kothanad, Perumbavoor, and Munnar. Produced under the banner of AKB Movies International, the film is written, directed, and produced by A. K. B. Kumar. The movie is set to release in theatres on January 30.

The film features a strong cast including Devan, Spadikam George, Saju Kodiyan, Unni S. Nair, Rafiq Chokli, along with several other prominent actors.

“Ithaaanu Friendship” presents a gripping crime-investigation story. Set in Ernakulam and Munnar, the narrative has been crafted to appeal to audiences across all Indian languages. Blending comedy, suspense, and romance, the film explores love stories intertwined with mystery. The emotions that arise within sincere friendships-love, misunderstandings, and suspense-will move, thrill, and entertain the audience.



Rajani (Chandana Aravind) and Reshma (Chithra Rajesh) work at a leading IT company in Ernakulam and stay together in a hostel. Their friendship grows with Joshi (Kiran), Hari (Unni), Vishnu (Anay), and Ansil (Sulfi), who work at a well-known textile shop in Ernakulam. One day, the group goes on a trip to Munnar. Rajani and Reshma also arrive there, and all of them stay at a resort. As their days at the resort pass with fun, jokes, and laughter, a shocking incident suddenly takes place, leaving everyone stunned. The film then moves forward through a series of startling events that unfold thereafter.



Devan and Rafiq Chokli appear as police officers, while Spadikam George plays the role of Reshma’s father.
