“Writers of Manicheppu” is a feature that introduces the writers who have contributed stories, poems, and other creative works to Manicheppu. We begin this series by introducing Harish R. Namboothirippad, who has been sending numerous stories and writings to Manicheppu since its early days.
Harish R. Namboothirippad
Harish R. Namboothirippad was born at Kakkoor Kanjirappilly Mana, in Thirumarady Village, Muvattupuzha Taluk, Ernakulam District, as the son of Raman Namboothirippad and Nalini Antharjanam. He completed his education at St. Mary’s U.P. School, Anchalpetty, Sree Krishna High School, Anandapuram, Government College, Manimalakkunnu, and T.D.T.T.I., Mattancherry. Since 1995, he has been serving as a U.P. section teacher at Ramamangalam High School.
He has published around sixty books across various fields including children’s literature, mythology, general knowledge, and humor. He began his literary journey through Mathrubhumi Balapankthi. His stories and poems continue to be published in various newspapers and periodicals. By writing one moral story every day and sharing 1,600 audio-format stories through social media, he has earned a Universal Record.

Christmas Story Season for the Story Uncle
Kuthattukulam: As another Christmas season filled with kindness and love approaches, this becomes a special Christmas storytelling season for children’s beloved “Story Uncle.” During this festive period, Harish R. Namboothirippad shares stories such as The Importance of Christmas, Nonu’s Christmas Tree, The Sparkle of the Star, and Christmas of Unity, all highlighting the values of togetherness and love. He also shares the album song “Sundara Hemantharaathri,” written by Hari Mash and sung by Smt. Ranjini Sudheeran.

During the Election Season
By sharing around a dozen election-themed stories, Hari Mash sends audio stories via WhatsApp that offer moral lessons for children. For the past five and a half years, he has been sharing stories without interruption. From his 1,615th story onward, he has been sharing Christmas stories.
Harish R. Namboothirippad, a member of Kakkoor Kanjirappilly Mana in Muvattupuzha Taluk, Ernakulam District, is a teacher at Ramamangalam High School and a well-known children’s literature writer.
